All-America Selections (AAS) Winners are reliable, non-GMO varieties with proven superior garden performance in AAS trial grounds across North America. Each year, a few select winners are chosen by an expert panel of independent judges with an eye for the new and exciting. AAS judges put entries through the paces, evaluating based on improvements across several criteria, such as earliness to bloom or harvest, disease resistance, yield, length of harvest, color, flavor, and overall performance. Johnny's Selected Seeds is proud to offer 13 AAS Winners from our breeding program!
We believe that seeds should belong to the people, not corporations. As large companies dominate the seed market, biodiversity, food security, and affordability are at risk. We are committed to providing seeds that are ethically sourced, free from corporate ownership, and fairly priced. Unlike many companies that charge more for fewer seeds, we offer high-quality seeds at accessible prices, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to grow. Our focus on heirloom and open-pollinated varieties not only supports seed-saving traditions but also empowers growers to cultivate sustainable, resilient crops. We believe in fair practices, from pricing to sourcing, and we stand by our mission to make seeds a shared resource that benefits both people and the planet.
